Frequently Asked Questions
-
As the smallest business fraternity, we pride ourselves on our tighter-knit bonds, closer mentorship, and emphasis on community support and openness in order to help you find your place within the larger college campus.
-
Every active member is required to attend weekly hour-long chapter meetings. As a pledge, an additional hour-long meeting is required. Additional time commitments vary per committee.
You will get back as much as you put in. Consistency and eagerness to engage will only benefit you in making you feel closer to our family.
-
Recruitment is a series of events where you get to learn more about our fraternity through activities and networking. While our events are non-committal, 3 out of 4 events are required to have your application considered for interview rounds—after which you may be considered to receive a bid and begin pledge education.
-
As a business interest fraternity, we are open to all majors! We believe our diversity helps us grow stronger and creates opportunities to explore other interests on campus or career fields.
-
Business attire is required for our rush events (excluding info night) and in the future, our chapter meetings as well. If purchasing is feasible, we recommend the investment as it's worthwhile for you professionally, too. We also understand this option isn't feasible for everyone, so we also recommend borrowing from friends, thrifting, or checking out the Husky Career Closet!

After receiving a bid, you begin your 7 week pledge process to transition you into becoming an active member of Phi Chi Theta where you learn the history and traditions of the fraternity. The term "pledge" can often have a negative context surrounding hazing, however Phi Chi Theta has a strict no hazing policy and are completely transparent about the pledging process during rush week if you have further questions.

Show up promptly, presentable, and prepared. Pay attention to things you'll need to bring or wear each day, and try your best to remember who you've networked with to leave a lasting impression. In the end, BE YOURSELF. We also want to get to know you as you, so you're welcome to speak beyond your professional experiences. We're looking for genuine passionate individuals, who are eager to grow personally and professionally.
